More from the Sleeping Files

This is the adventure we get to enjoy more often that we'd really like (but we know we'll miss it when it's gone). *Disclaimer: This room was clean earlier that morning. That doesn't always happen, but it was true that morning - of course, this is probably the reason why it doesn't happen often. It only lasted a few hours!
To the untrained eye, this is a pig sty!! Blankets and stuffed animals everywhere! The trained eye will see past all that and notice that Shelly is wearing about 5 different dresses topped off by a shirt that was in Jason's too small pile. (it's long sleeved on Jason, and barely to the elbow on Shelly)
*Note: She was not wearing any of those when we put her to bed.
Here's the room in all it's glory! It's often that we have to play Where's Waldo when we check on them before we go to bed. Can you spot the two kids?
It was too funny to not take a picture of after she 'woke up.' You can tell she's not quite there yet - and you gotta love that hair... Anyone else suddenly picture Medusa for some strange reason?
This was adorable (and several weeks - and clean-up-the-room games - after the last few shots). Shelly pulled out her stuffed animals and tucked them into bed, blanket and all. This happened to be a night that Jason was sick and couldn't sleep because of his stuffed nose and cough, so Mark had to un-tuck the animals to snuggle with Jason in the chair (I had tried in the toddler bed sitting up so Jason could breathe, but my back started giving out on me, and Mark graciously took over without me even asking!)
Shelly's new favorite item is her backpack. She's slept with it at least 7 or 8 nights out of the last 10, and she's even gotten away with leaving it on while in her car seat (only twice - mostly we don't let her). She has her Book of Mormon that she got from Primary in there as well as what ever else tickles her fancy for the moment. It's both cute and a bit annoying! Can't she go anywhere without it!?
I'm not quite sure how he can stand up and sleep at the same time... I wouldn't be able to do it! It's the second time that I've seen him do it, and I missed the picture the 1st time by just a few seconds. The first was more impressive, but this is still quite funny!

These pictures are hilarious. Where do your kids come up with this stuff?

This is mission prep! (He will be able to sleep standing up on a bus in South America...or if he is REALLY lucky, in Mexico!)
