Happy Birthday Honey!

Today is Mark's birthday. He turns 30. He's handling it well. Mostly.

As a surprise for him I made him overnight cinnamon rolls. It was my very first time making cinnamon rolls. I've seen my mother make them probably hundreds of times, but had never made them myself. These turned out really good for a first try!
This picture was taken right out of the oven. I put a small amount of glaze on while it was super hot so it could melt into the crevices. The rest went on after they'd cooled a bit.

I love Emily's new vocab lately. I tried to get her to say some of my favorite words, but she wasn't quite that talkative. Maybe next time.

After breakfast and hanging out as a family for a bit, we headed up the canyon to hang out. I didn't take any pictures while we were up there, but Jason found my camera and took a few.

One of me.

One of Mark (the birthday boy!)

And a few of his hands. His specialty...

One the way home Jason wanted to sit in the back with the girls, so Mark fix it up so that the car seat and both booster seats fit. It was a tight squeeze.

They enjoyed being next to each other though.

Because Ethan had his tonsils out today, we couldn't go across the road to do the normal dinner party. So, Grandma and Grandpa came over here, and brought food and dessert with them.

Here's the moon cake that Mark requested for dessert.

Happy Birthday to You!

The kids weren't into singing along.

Blowing out the candles.

Shelly was impressed that he was able to get all 6 candles in one breath...

Annie was impressed that we didn't wake her up with our 'wonderful' singing.
