Found some before and after pictures of Shelly's hair on Grandma's camera. She's a handy one to have around at picture time.

Here's the before length. When she's not crouched over and when you can actually see the back, it's about an inch or two from her pants line. Super painful to brush, and really hard to keep from looking like a rats nest. On the rare days when it did look good, it was cute, but it was a lot of effort to keep up. It was time to go.
Into a pony tail, and off it comes.

Of course, since I am an incredibly un-professional hair cutter, it needed a bit of fixing...
The pony tail was at least 1/2 inch longer on one side than the other. I blame the scissors. They were about 1 step up from kids safety scissors.

It's a shame she's not excited ;)
