Pets?!

I'm not sure how it happened, but we ended up with some pets. There was a stray cat that picked us. He's a great cat. He catches mice, is totally tame, and somebody neutered him. He's huge and black and somehow got the name Fluffy. We're glad to have a mouser on the farm!

There there's a cute puppy we named Toto. He was a dark color as a puppy, but once his puppy hair grew out, he's now more white and gray and the name doesn't match his fur anymore. We got him from my cousin Amy. Amy came to visit her mom, and they both came to visit the kids and while they were letting the dogs run around on the farm, the kids fell in love with a puppy they had been planning on giving away, so we ended up with a dog.

Here's the dog house that Mark built. We built a better one later out of cinder blocks nearer the house, but this was quick and fast for an unexpected new addition.

Here's Fluffy hanging out in the grass. It's hard to tell, but he's a rather large cat.

Toto had a lot of fun playing with the outside toys that we left outside. We quickly learned not to leave anything out there we didn't want destroyed.


Toto and Fluffy entertain each other. It's good they're playmates and not enemies.
