So, it's been awhile. I keep meaning to post some fun pictures, but my photo program decided to stop working so I can't import any of the new photos from my camera. We bought a new bike trailer for the kids to ride in and we've had fun riding to the lake to feed the ducks, and then over to the park for Park Days with the ward. Jason is now a champ walker. He's started walking all on his own all over the place. He still can't get too terribly far, but he can make it most of the way down that long upstairs hall all by himself.

Becca came down with a friend two weeks ago, and we had fun tagging along with them to different places. We went with them to Disneyland, and then to the Getty Villa. The Getty Villa is a museum of sorts with lots of fun sculptures and clay pots and some pretty gardens. They had a room for kids to play in where you could draw on 'clay' pots with a dry erase marker, and you could do rubbings of different shapes they had on the table. There was also an area where they projected a light with some scenes onto a big screen, and then people could stand behind the screen and be in the scene. They also had some fun dress-up stuff there. There was a 'Caesar-type' head piece, a roman looking helmet, a sword, a shield, a lute, etc. We had fun dressing up Shelly and Jason and pretending to either attack them or let them attack us. Becca got some cute shots that I need to steal from her. I'll try to find them and put them up here. Becca's friend's name is Emily. Shelly took quite a liking to her and wanted to follow her around everywhere and would be devastated if she left the room. It was rather cute! Her new favorite thing now is to 'be like Emily' which means we put her hair in a pony tail (the 1/2 pony tail stays in better and still leaves some of those cute curls out without getting that one mad curl down her forehead!). But it's nice to be able to have her sit still long enough to be able to do something different with her hair. She loves to 'be like ___'. It doesn't matter who it is. She mostly does it with someone's shoes she's stolen and put on, but she'll also ask to put her shirt on either like mommy or Jason. If it's 'like mommy', she wants to do it herself, but 'like Jason' means she wants us to put it over her head for her and then she'll get the sleeves herself.

William and Danielle arrive today (in a few hours if they left when they thought they would) so spend the summer with us. We spent an entire evening getting the room empty enough to support guests for a few months, and then finished up moving some furniture around the next morning. Mark and I were able to organize the garage enough to put one big piece down there, and since it hadn't been organized in a while, it looks better than it used to even though there' more down there.

Mark is excited to be almost done with this semester. Just one more week. Then he has two classes in a compacted semester so he spends as much time in class as if he were taking 4 classes, but at least it's only 2 days a week now instead of 3. He's hoping to arrange his schedule with work to allow him to take Fridays off and then we're hoping to be able to go camping! We have no idea where to go though - but we're excited just thinking it might actually happen. We'll wait to have our hopes and dreams dashed later, until after we look into it :-)

Well, without pictures this is getting rather tedious.

Sorry for the super long one instead of several smaller ones.

As always (even if we don't say it) we're grateful for the Gospel and for all the blessing that come along with it. It's been amazing to watch others who don't have this and see how much better our lives are with just this one small difference.

Well, that's all for now folks. Tune in later for another update in the ever exciting lives of the 'Schofields!'

(please tell me that worked in print the way it worked in my head - it sounded super funny to me, but I'm not sure it came out right...)
